In
the middle of the 19th century, Christian seminary principal Mikao
Usui was asked by his students why they were not taught the method
by which Jesus performed miracles of healing. Troubled by this request,
Usui left his position at the seminary and begin a decades long quest
that would lead him to believe even lay persons could practice the
arts of energetic healing.
